Following the death of The Voice star, Christina Grimmie, the singer’s manager Brian Teefey of LH7 Management launched a GoFundMe initiative to raise funds for her love ones.
After her performance in Orlando, Florida, on Friday evening, the 22-year-old musician was shot and killed by 27-year-old, Kevin James Loibl. This tragic news left Teefey and his stepdaughter, Selena Gomez, in shock. Teefey revealed on the GoFundMe page:
“Words cannot begin to describe the pain I am feeling. I learned this business through the eyes of a father and Christina was like a second daughter to me. All I wanted to do was assist her in achieving her musical dreams while protecting her from the pitfalls associated with the business. I never could have imagined this horrific event being one of the pitfalls needing to be avoided.”
Teefey noted in honor of Christina he has created the GoFundMe initiative to help her family during this time, as they made the ultimate family sacrifice to support Christina on her musical journey. They did nothing but love her and support her as family the best they knew how.
Gomez also tweeted out her reaction to Christina’s sudden passing.

Selena took to the stage on Saturday during her tour to pay tribute to Grimmie. The Voice judge Adam Levine also showed his condolence for the singer and has offered to pay for Christina’s funeral.
