CAN Capital, Inc., a market share leader in alternative small business finance, announced that the company will speak at and sponsor Money 20/20. CAN Capital CEO Daniel DeMeo will will discuss the alternative finance industry’s massive growth over the past year and how that has impacted the small business financial landscape on the “Small Business Lending Roundtable: Alternate Roads to Operating Capital” panel on Tuesday, 25 October alongside executives from OnDeck, Square, Funding Circle and American Express.

As CAN Capital’s Small Business Health Index recently revealed, 42 percent of small business owners say it’s quite or extremely challenging to gain access to working capital, highlighting the need for online lenders to fill that gap. CAN Capital will also be the exclusive sponsor of Startup Row, where the company will work alongside more than 60 businesses to showcase technological innovation in the financial services industry.
Earlier this year CAN Capital joined OnDeck (NYSE: ONDK) and Kabbage to form the “Innovative Lending Platform Association” to advance small business online lending education, advocacy and best practices. To promote common disclosure verbiage and standardization, the association launched in partnership with the Association for Enterprise Opportunity (AEO), an advocate for microbusiness in the United States, to create a model small business lending disclosure called the SMART Box.
