Barcelona-based designer shoe brand, Les Chausseurs, has closed its equity crowdfunding campaign on Crowdcube Spain. The company secured over €110,000 from more than 70 investors.
Les Chausseurs was founded in 2014 with a mission to distribute a limited series (comprised of 12 units) of designer shoes for men and women made with high-quality materials. The company notably does not work with stock and it offers consumers new products every month that are numbered and have a unique characteristic. Since September 2015, Les Chausseurs has reportedly sold more than 6,000 pairs of shoes.
Lambert Perera Cortes, founder f Les Chausseurs, previously shared:
“I chose Crowdcube for several reasons; first, because its team explained the process to me very well, what we could do and how we could utilize the platform; they helped me a lot with the economic part of the project, and with the content as well, making everything so easy,” commented via email. “In addition, Crowdcube’s team is young and dynamic; the projects they have on their platform are very interesting and their audience seems to be the same as ours.”
Funding from the campaign will be used for marketing to position the brand better globally and online, for the creation of the new line of entry level footwear and sneakers, and the opening of Les Chausseurs’ second store in Barcelona. The company added it also seeks to consolidate its presence internationally by making inroads into new countries such as Japan, or with a new corner location in Le Printemps department stores in Paris, which will open in January, and another in Seoul.
