On Tuesday, Symbid announced it formed a partnership with Knab Crowdfunding. This news comes just a few days after the crowdfunding platform revealed its collaboration with PortXL-World Port Accelerator.
The Symbid team shared that both their platform and Knab Crowdfunding offer crowdfunding, both focus on different types of crowdfunding. While Knab focuses on crowdfunding through loans, Symbid offers equity crowdfunding. They noted that from now on, Symbid would be sending entrepreneurs who are a clear fit for loan crowdfunding to Knab and Knab will direct customers who are in need of equity funding to Symbid.
Commenting on the partnership, Remko Jansen, the head Crowdfunding at Knab, shared:
“In order to make sure a business is sustainably fundable in the future, the right type of funding needs to be selected. For companies that are still in development stage, the focus will be on equity funding. We consider Symbid to be the expert in this area.”
Robin Slakhorst of Symbid added:
“Entrepreneurs looking for a next round of funding often return to Symbid and in some of these cases funding via a loan is a better fit. The cooperation with Knab allows us to always offer the right funding solution. This way, we make sure entrepreneurs will be are funded sustainably.”
