Qumram Wins “Growth Stage Startup of the Year” at Swiss Fintech Awards

Qumram, a global Regtech firm providing digital compliance and risk management solutions to the financial industry, has been awarded its third top award, in the past three months – this time at the Swiss FinTech Awards 2017 ceremony in Zurich. The selection process involved 70 applicants and a jury of 22 financial executives and Fintech experts.

Patrick Barnert, CEO at Qumram, said he was immensely proud of his team and their accomplishments to date.

“This award motivates us to continue achieving at the highest level, as we work hard to bring compliance and analytical insights into financial services. Our plans haven’t changed. We know that our solution is a must-have for every financial services organization with a digital initiative. Not next year, or even tomorrow. It is a regulatory requirement today. Our prospects now realize this too, which is fueling Qumram’s growth.”

Simon Scheurer, co-founder and CTO at Qumram, added that their progress over the last year confirms what they believed when they launched the company

“… compliant digital interactions are a fundamental legal requirement but, more importantly, the vast big data collected throughout the compliance process can support client-centricity, and bring huge value in terms of business insights. We are continuously investing, to evolve our solution. The next big release will include Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.”

In December 2016, Qumram won the Private Banker International Award: Outstanding Front-End Digital Solution, and in February 2017 Qumram won the WealthBriefing Swiss Award 2017: Most Innovative FinTech. Qumram recently received significant funding to propel platform growth as their services expand beyond Switzerland and into Europe and North America.

Qumram allows all digital activity to be recorded and replayed, in movie-like form, providing a transparent digital audit trail for financial services organizations. This empowers global banks, investment and wealth management firms, insurance companies, and other financial institutions, to comply with regulatory requirements for digital record-keeping including; MIFID-II, FINRA, SEC, ESMA, FFSA, FIDLEG, the Department of Labor fiduciary rule etc. Qumram also enables fraud detection and delivers actionable customer insights that improve customer experience.

The Swiss FinTech Awards is organized by Swiss financial media company, Finanz und Wirtschaft.

According to Mark Dittli, editor-in-chief of Finanz und Wirtschaft;

“Qumram has proven that a FinTech company from Switzerland can successfully expand globally. We believe that Qumram’s solution has the potential to become the gold standard for digital compliance and customer insights in the financial services sector.”

George H. Schmidt, a Partner at Accenture, added that the Qumram team impressed the jury with its substantial achievements.

“The firm’s evolution over the last twelve months, both as a company and as a team, is exemplary.”
