Cybersecurity company WISeKey announced on Wednesday it has formed a partnership with blockchain solutions company, RIDDLE&CODE, in order to develop solutions for securing internet of things (IoT) through blockchain technology and crypto-hardware.
While sharing details about the partnership, WISeKey stated the first step is to integrate WISeKey’s Global Root and Public Key Infrastructures into RIDDLE&CODE’s hard- and software stack. The hardware interface is based on combining efficient microcontrollers to so called crypto-accelerators. The software interface connects this combination to the web, mobile phones, reader systems and radio frequency systems like NFC, Bluetooth, ZigBee and low-power wide area networks.
Tom Fürstner, RIDDLE&CODE’s Founder and CTO, also commented:
