Germany’s biggest “Founders Festival” Bits & Pretzels, which is taking place in September, has announced that last year’s highlight speaker Kevin Spacey will once again return to Munich. While he will not be participating as a keynote speaker he will be joining the event as a guest.

Bits & Pretzels is said to attract more than 5,000 founders, startup enthusiasts, investors and all other decision-makers of the startup ecosystem. The festival ends with the grand finale at the traditional Oktoberfest in Munich.

From LA Confidential to Frank Underwood in House of Cards Kevin Spacey gained popularity with films like The Usual Suspects, Se7en, LA Confidential and American Beauty. Having two Academy Awards and eleven years as Artistic Director of the legendary Old Vic theatre, Spacey’s turn to TV in 2013 garnered him many new fans. For his role as Congressman Frank Underwood in House of Cards, Spacey has won Golden Globe and SAG awards. For his services to theatre, the arts and international culture, Spacey also received an honorary Knighthood from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth.

Unbeknownst to many, in addition to being recognized for his work in the arts, Kevin Spacey is an active investor in many technology companies.

[Editors note: a previous version of this article stated that Kevin Space would be a keynote speaker. The organizers inform us he is attending as a guest.]
