On Tuesday, global crowdfunding platform Indiegogo announced it has teamed up with Jif for a new young entrepreneur contest, Imagine If, With Jif. While sharing details about the contest, Indiegogo stated:
“We’re excited to announce a new collaboration with Jif and the brilliant young thinkers of the world. Together, through young entrepreneurship, we hope to make the world a better place. How? By finding the brilliant young minds who can bring big ideas to life – big ideas that create a positive future, solve challenging issues or even improve the communities we live in.”
As part of the contest, Jif will be giving away up to $30,000 to the top project submission. Here’s how it works:
- Parents submit their child’s inventive project ideas to make the world a better place.
- Three project ideas will be selected as finalists and kick off crowdfunding campaigns with a seed of $10,000 each.
- One project is selected as the grand prize winner and funded an additional $20,000.
Indiegogo noted that all finalists will be chosen by the Jif Parent Panel, which includes mom and actress Melissa Joan Hart and Indiegogo’s co-founder and father Slava Rubin. They’ll be looking for creative, original ideas that align with the Jif mission to make the world a better place. The finalists will also kick off crowdfunding campaigns, with help from the experts at Indiegogo.
