Property Crowdfunding Site Property Moose Appoints Senior Bankers to Board of Directors

Property Moose, (aka DFI Financial Services Limited) has appointed two senior finance professionals to its Board of Directors. The property crowdfunding site has added Richard Avery-Wright and Tim Parkes to the Board following a recent investment round, in which they both participated.

Parkes previously was Head of Mortgages for Cheltenham and Gloucester Building Society and more recently spent 5 years as Managing Director of Barclays Wealth International. As Head of Mortgages for Barclays in the 1990s, Parkes and his team increased the firm’s share of the UK residential lending market from 1% to 5%, and he brings his lending experience to the Property Moose team.

Avery-Wright is an experienced VC / Angel investor and has founded a number of successful businesses in the technology, broking, asset management, and proprietary trading environments. This experience building ‘scale-up businesses’ should offer strategic support to the executive team.

In 2003, Avery-Wright established and led the equity derivatives business on behalf of Man Financial (Australia) Limited, a division of Man Group plc. Prior to this, Avery-Wright headed one of the derivative broking divisions for GNI Limited, which is part of Old Mutual plc. In 2007, Avery-Wright co-founded Pie Funds Management in New Zealand, and is an active investor and participant in early stage growth companies, particularly in the Fintech space.

“I am pleased to join a skilled team in a sector that I am passionate about. The focus of the Property Moose team to deliver a client-centric investment experience that is underpinned with sleek technology has a growing appeal,” commented Parkes.

Avery-Wright added;

“As the Property Moose business expands, we will strive to raise additional funds to support growth, and continue to assert ourselves as one of the pioneers in the financial technology sector.”

Andrew Gardiner, Founder and CEO of Property Moose, said of the new Board appointments;

“Welcoming Richard and Tim to the business is a key indicator of how the sector has matured in the preceding 4 years. Together they have an abundance of experience building financial services businesses, and their appointment comes at an exciting time as we are releasing new technology, new products, and expanding the core team.”

Founded in 2013, Property Moose is on a mission to democratise property investment, all opportunities have a minimum investment of just £10.
