The University of Hong Kong has announced a new Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) entitled an Introduction to Fintech. The MOOC is expected to launch in March 2018. The new course on Fintech was revealed during Hong Kong’s second annual Fintech week event. The course is free unless you want to purchase an optional certificate of completion from the University of Hong Kong for $100 which is pretty reasonable.
According to organizers, the 6-week certified online course on Financial Technology will provide a foundational understanding of the forces that are shaping the world of financial services. The course is structured in six modules covering an introduction to Fintech, Infrastructure, Finance, Data, RegTech and Interface.
The six week course is in collaboration with SuperCharger, Cyberport, CFTE, UNSW Sydney, and Microsoft. The MooC will be taught by a combination of academic and practitioners as well as feature prominent guest speakers to illustrate the content with practical business examples.
The University of Hong Kong says it is ranked 1st globally for Fintech Regulation Research, as well as being the 7th in World as an academic institution for its research quality.
