Brauhaus am Turm GmbH, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Japanese noodle restaurant MoschMosch, is now collecting up to €500,000 euros through a crowdfunding website operated by CrowdDesk for the opening of a brewery at the newly-built Henninger Turm in Frankfurt am Main.
“The Brauhaus am Turm is one of the first companies to use our new funding page solution. It benefits from the advantages of an individually designed funding page, which allows you to legally start smaller crowd financings on your own, without the need for a platform,” explains Johannes Laub, CEO of CrowdDesk.
The money collected through the crowdfunding page will refinance part of the reconstruction needed for the opening of the brewery. The project is a gastronomic offer conceived in cooperation with the Radeberger Group, which combines the traditional cosiness of a brewing house with a modern environment and is expected to appeal to a broad target audience. The official opening of the brewery is scheduled for early November 2017.
Individuals who want to participate in the financing of the brewery can invest in the project through the crowdfunding page for as little as€100 and receive in return, in addition to investor perks, 4.80% in interest per year with a term of 3 years. The loan is paid out at the end of the term.
“Crowdfunding aims to enable citizens to participate in the success of our concept both regionally and nationally. We are happy to have an experienced expert like CrowdDesk at our side,” says Tobias Jäkel, Managing Director of Brauhaus am Turm GmbH.
CrowdDesk’s funding page solution, which is being used for brewery financing for the first time, is aimed primarily at medium-sized companies, craft businesses and start-ups. The advantage, according to CrowdDesk, is It can finance projects for which there is no platform due to the lack of thematic coverage. Additionally, the project is independent of the specifications of a platform.
CrowdDesk provides white-label solutions for launching and operating crowdfunding platforms tailored to the unique needs of platform operators.
