On Wednesday, ICO Investor.tv was launched to help enthusiasts and investors to explore the Initial Coin Offering (ICO) industry. The platform, which was developed by NextGen Crowdfunding founder, Aubrey Chernick, is claimed to be the first online video platform dedicated to ICOs and will feature legal and investor roundtables and interviews with ICO exerts, focused educational content and a Global Regulatory Review that is designed to help users with the opportunities and pitfalls of the ICO industry.
While sharing details about the new video platform, Chernick stated:
“The world of ICOs not only has many current dimensions of complexity — these dimensions are also evolving every few weeks! We’re creating a place to help people get up to speed and keep up to speed with this fast-moving ICO ecosystem so that viewers can better understand both evolving opportunities and risks.”
It was also noted that ICO Investor.tv’s Investor ICO Roundtable will explore key issues facing current and potential ICO investors, such as geographical, vertical, and infrastructure opportunities, why a company issues a token, and what drives token value. Some of the ICO Roundtable participants include Adam Draper, the founder of Boost VC, Steve McClurg, Chief Investment Officer at Treasure Technologies, among others.
The Legal Roundtable will reportedly focus on how ICOs are regulated, and what types of legal requirements may apply, which includes securities regulation, commodities regulation, anti-money laundering and know-your-customer requirements, and taxation, to name a few. Participants are Adam Ettinger, Co-Chair of the Digital Currency Team at Sheppard, Mullin; Alan Cohn, Co-Chair of the Blockchain and Digital Currency Practice at Steptoe & Johnson LLP, and Sam Guzik, a securities attorney and crowdfunding counselor.
The Global ICO Regulatory Review will notably include a timeline showing the evolution of global regulation of ICOs. Since ICOs typically span countries, a global perspective on relevant regulations is essential to ICO investors.
The ICO Investor.tv team went on to add that an ICO Learning Center will also provide introductory educational content. This learning center will is designed to specifically help people learn about the complex and multi-dimensional ways in which ICOs are structured and conducted.
