TicketGuardian Teams Up With Events.com to Offer Insurance Offering to Protect Event Registrants

TicketGuardian, a full transactional insurtech platform, announced on Tuesday it has partnered with Events.com, a premier event management and registration platform, to offer ticket and registration insurance. According to the companies, the partnership leverages each company’s strengths; insurance technology and event management.

“In North America, over 500 million people enrich their lives annually by registering for events. Events.com services a variety of events like the Cleveland Marathon, Florida Renaissance Festival, Club Getaway Adult Camps and thousands of others. Prior to the TicketGuardian – Events.com partnership, the majority of participants and event goers would not receive a refund if they couldn’t attend. However, the partnership allows Events.com customers the option to offer insurance through TicketGuardian to protect their participants’ investment when they add insurance when registering for events offering insurance.”

While sharing more details about the partnership, Bryan Derbyshire, Founder and CEO of TicketGuardian, stated:

“This is exciting to partner with Events.com. Both companies believe this should have been done a long time ago within the industry. Planning for an event is important and therefore protecting your investment in that experience makes sense. I’m glad the Events.com team feels the same.”

Mitch Thrower, Founder of Events.com, added:

“Training for 22 iron-distance triathlons has led to injuries that prevented me from competing. I would have saved tons of money if TicketGuardian was an option to protect my registrations.”

Founded in 2015, TicketGuardian stated that it provides a simplified way for event attendees or participants to receive 100% of their money in the event something happens and they are unable to attend.
