Insurance Technologies Corporation (ITC), a provider of insurance websites, agency marketing, rating, and management software and services, announced on Tuesday it opened the third annual InsurTech Scholarship for applications for the 2018-19 school year.
The company stated it will award one $1,500 scholarship to a current college student who plans to join the insurance industry after their graduation. Applicants must submit a 1,500-word essay about the impact of technology on the insurance industry over the next five years. While sharing more details about the scholarship, Laird Rixford, president of ITC, stated:
“It is important to us to support the upcoming generation as they’re helping to drive the changes that are occurring in the insurance industry. The InsurTech Scholarship helps support a story while also supporting the future of the industry.”
ITC then added that the deadline to apply for the third annual InsurTech Scholarship is August 31, 2018. Any student currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate school and plans to work in the insurance industry is eligible for the scholarship.
