CFTC’s Technology Advisory Committee Meets on October 5th

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has scheduled a meeting of its Technology Advisory Committee (TAC) to take place on October 5th at the CFTC HQ in Washington, DC. The meeting begins at 10AM and continues to approximately 3:30PM ET.

According to the CFTC, the TAC meeting will hear presentations from select subcommittees with possible topics including Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT or blockchain), Virtual Currencies, Modern Trading Markets and the hot topic of Regtech.

CFTC Commissioner Brian Quintenz is the sponsor of the TAC and Daniel Gorfine, Director of LabCFTC, is the Designated Federal Officer (DFO).

As is the case with all of these meetings, the TAC gathering is open to the public but if you are not in DC you may also dial in or view the webcast on the CFTC website.
