Younited Credit Recruits German CEO to Head its German Operations

Younited Credit announced today that it has hired Kai Friedrich, a senior German banker to head its German operations.

Younited Credit is the only consumer lending platform which has its own “passportable” license allowing it to operate as a credit institution throughout the European Union. As a result, Younited Credit already serves six European markets, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Germany, and Austria. In addition, the platform has developed a Credit-As-A-Service offering which it white labels to banks, insurers, mobile operators, e-merchants who wish to launch their own credit activity. At the end of 2018, the company had financed more than €1 billion in cumulated loans.

Kai Friedrich is a senior banker with a track record in leading pioneering fintechs and online banks. His career started at Direktanlagebank (DAB), the first German online broker. He then spent three years at Consors France, another online broker, which he ended up heading as CEO. He later became the CEO of Consorsbank and DAB in Germany and member of the Executive Board of BNP Paribas Germany after their acquisition of Consors and DAB by the BNP Paribas group. He was also Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Hello bank! Austria, the mobile bank of BNP Paribas.

Initially, Kai Friedrich will be leading the German operations from Munich, Germany.
