The Canada Fintech Forum, a fintech event that is being held in Montréal, is set to host its seventh edition of showcasing the global trends of the fintech industry, as well as new applications of technology for the financial industry, and growing FinTech start-ups.
“The FinTech Forum also aims to facilitate networking and collaboration among financial institutions, technology providers, start-ups and other key players in the financial services sector, as well as contribute to the visibility of Canadian talent in the field of technology applied to finance.”
This year’s Forum is also offering a Pitching Contest. The event will be offering seven emerging fintech startups the opportunity to showcase themselves in the financial services industry, which includes investors and strategic partners.
“Each company selected will have seven minutes on the main stage of the event to present their business and technology, as well as have a chance to receive an investment offer of $CAD 1M or a $CAD 25,000 cash prize in front of Canada’s largest FinTech gathering. Our selection team includes some of Canada’s leading Fintech investors and financial institutions.Your company will receive exposure to these individuals regardless of being selected to pitch on stage!”
Eligibility requirements for the contest are listed below.
For the $1M investment offer:
- Have successfully launched a product
- Generate revenue
- Operate in Portag3’s core geographies of North America, Western Europe, Singapore or Hong Kong.
For the cash prize and ongoing prizes:
- FinTech Start-up
- Have launched at least a MVP (minimum viable product)
