F10 Announces Newly Established Investment Unit to Provide Funding For Selected Startups Graduating From Incubation Program

Switzerland based Fintech Incubator & Accelerator F10 announced on Tuesday the launch of its new investment unit, F10 Investment AG. According to F10, the unit’s founding investors are F10 FinTech Incubator & Accelerator and the F10 Corporate Partners SIX Group as well as the innovation entity of Generali Switzerland – the House of Insurtech Switzerland (HITS).

“Through the newly founded F10 Investment AG, Corporate Partners of the Swiss F10 hub can invest in carefully selected startups graduating from the F10 Incubation Program in Zurich. For each batch of the renowned program, the experienced F10 Startup Coaches and F10 Corporate Partners pick the best teams out of more than 300 applications from all over the world.”

While sharing more details about the investment unit, James Sanders, Startup Coach, Investment Expert at F10 and General Manager of F10 Investment AG, stated:

“Time is a decisive factor for startups. Funding at the right time helps the teams grow faster and take the first steps to scale their business. From the Incubation Program that’s been running in Zurich since 2016, we have seen that early strategic investments contribute significantly to the success of our startups.”

F10 also noted that “Qualified Investors” get the chance to invest through the F10 Investment AG in a portfolio before anybody else.

“F10 Corporate Partners get direct access to startups developing cutting-edge tech solutions, collaboration options with the teams in the F10 programs, deal flow and the opportunity to invest in pre-screened high-potential startups.”

The F10 Investment AG board decided to make first investments into the following startups of Batch V of the F10 Incubation Program in Zurich:

  • AAZZUR: The UK-German startup AAZZUR enables the open banking revolution by reducing the go-to-market time for neo banks as well helping banks monetise customer data by cross-selling financial services.
  •  Aequitec: The Switzerland-based startup Aequitec has developed a platform for automated corporate governance workflows. Their core product is a share register for paper certificates, intermediated securities (“Bucheffekten”) and tokenized shares.
  • Mitra: The Swiss InsurTech Mitra provides tools and services to digitize insurance products at their core.
  •  VALK: The UK-based startup VALK is an end-to-end digital transaction solution for private markets built on Corda.

Meanwhile, F10 is currently scouting for innovative teams to join Batch VII in Zurich starting in June 2021.
