Cryptocurrency exchange Bitstamp has hired Sameer Dubey as Chief Operating Officer. Dubey has previously worked at digital bank N26 and Barclays. Prior to N26, where he was heading Operations for the UK, Dubey spent over a decade at Barclays Bank focused on its Payments and Transactions Product business. Dubey was an early proponent of Blockchain at Barclays and a member of the team that established Barclays Bank’s blockchain and distributed ledger council.
According to Bitstamp, Dubey brings global leadership in Fintech and traditional banking to Bitstamp, where he will be responsible for scaling Bitstamp’s operational capabilities.
