Fintech Accelerator F10 and Seoul Fintech Lab to Expand their Startup Incubation Program to South Korea

F10, a leading Fintech startup incubator and accelerator program, has teamed up with Seoul Fintech Lab which is supported by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and K accelerator, a Fintech support center headquartered in Seoul. Through the partnership, both organizations will aim to expand their incubation program into South Korea.

The program will mainly focus on assisting early-stage South Korean Fintechs with enhancing their product offerings in order to be well-prepared for international markets and corporate clients.

F10 will be choosing 10 of the most promising or high-potential startups to participate in a 6-week long program, beginning on July 26, 2021.

The program is scheduled to run in a hybrid format, with 4 weeks of online classes and an extensive 2-week in-person workshop carried out in Seoul. The sessions will conclude with a Demo Day, where startups can pitch their business ideas to an international audience.

This latest partnership will aim to help with enhancing the global competitiveness of South Korea’s startups by taking advantage of F10’s networking opportunities. The partnership will also aim to fulfil Seoul Fintech Lab‘s and K Accelerator’s goal of supporting innovative projects in the Korean financial services sector.

By leveraging F10’s innovation ecosystem, F10 also intends to support these startups with achieving their fundraising targets and also with further developing various use-cases.

Jonas Thuerig, Country Success Lead for F10 Singapore, will reportedly be a part of the team that’s tasked with engaging and creating collaborative opportunities between the selected startups and the F10 network.

Thuerig stated:

“The South Korean fintech startup scene is growing rapidly and the large pool of talented entrepreneurs has big potential for transformative and disruptive solutions to gain ground in the financial industry globally. We are excited to partner with K Accelerator and Seoul Fintech Lab.”

Young Soh, Head of Seoul Fintech Lab, remarked:

“Singapore is the country with the highest demand for Seoul Fintech Lab startups’ to enter. Through this collaborative program with F10 Singapore will provide practical help for startups to successfully settle in Singapore and Southeast Asian markets.”
