Green Feather, a U.S.-based healthcare fintech and the creator of patient payments platform, Feather Pay, announced on Wednesday it raised $1.5 million through its latest seed investment round, which was led by Lawrence P. Huang, Co-Foudner of Ciena Corp. and Executive Chairman of Green Feather.
Founded in 2020, Green Feather reported it provides software solutions for its users’ platform that enable revenue growth, reduce costs and improves patients’ lives. The company also offers a HIPAA compliant turnkey eCommerce platform for healthcare companies that are just getting started in their digital caregiving journey.
“Our goal is to build software products that make it easier for patients to get the care they need. Purchasing healthcare products and services is unnecessarily difficult for patients. It’s difficult to select the correct product, difficult to purchase the product and difficult to pay for the product. We exist to enable better patient outcomes through intuitive and powerful technologies.”
Green Feather also revealed that Feather Pay is a payment platform that offers patients total flexibility in paying for their care, with access to multiple payment options and the ability to combine multiple payment types in a single transaction, all delivered in a simple user experience that works whether in person or remotely on any digital device.
“Feather Pay helps practices improve revenue performance through greater adoption of treatment plans, simplifying their administrative operations while delivering a consumer-friendly payment experience.”
Speaking about the investment round, Craig Haynor, Co-Founder and CEO, stated:
“Affording care remains a significant problem for patients, driven in part by skyrocketing out-of-pocket costs. Feather Pay helps practices and patients meet that challenge. This capital raise will enable investments in people and technology, leading to new customer acquisition and product innovation that will deliver a better patient payment experience acrss healthcare segments and platforms.”
Green Feather went on to add that the seed round’s funds will be used for its customer acquisition and engineering resources for Feather Pay.
