The team at UK-based Fintech Modulr says they wanted to let their community know that they’ve been named a 2021 Deloitte UK Technology Fast 50 winner.
Now in its twenty-fourth year, the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 is one of the United Kingdom’s tech awards programs, which ranks firms based on their overall revenue growth during the past 4 years. It serves as a formal recognition of innovation and entrepreneurship and an “acknowledgement of the 50 fastest-growing technology companies in the UK.”
Modulr‘s management noted that they are quite pleased to have been placed 42nd in their debut appearance on the list. The company has also congratulated their clients Revolut and Salary Finance (among others they haven’t formally announced yet) who join them in this line-up.
As well as being a validation for their clients, investors and business partners – all who truly share their conviction that an all-digital environment needs effective virtual payments – this recognition is “testimony” to the solid Modulr team who have worked to get them where they are today.
Myles Stephenson, CEO at Modulr, stated:
“All of us at Modulr are delighted to be named a 2021 Deloitte UK Technology Fast 50 winner. It’s wonderful to be able to collectively look beyond the challenges of the last couple of years and for businesses to receive recognition for the innovation and achievements that have helped maintain the UK’s momentum in fintech.”
Stephenson added:
“This ranking reminds us why we’re doing what we’re doing – making money move more efficiently through business and the economy – one business payment at a time. When we started Modulr, we set about creating a payments platform that combined a tech stack, regulatory permissions and deep access to critical payments infrastructure to help digital businesses embed efficient payments and compete in the digital world. Six years on and we remain steadfast and true to that original mission.”
Duncan Down, lead partner for the Deloitte UK Technology Fast 50 program, remarked:
“The extraordinary growth of this year’s Fast 50 represents the remarkable tenacity of the UK’s technology industry. Deloitte’s 2021 Fast 50 awards are a clear demonstration of the wealth of talent, creativity, and entrepreneurship in the UK’s technology industry today.
Down also mentioned:
“The 2021 Deloitte UK Technology Fast 50 highlights the success being achieved within the sector today. The Deloitte UK Technology Fast 50 awards are an opportunity for businesses to gain recognition for their innovation and achievements over the last four years. The 50 fastest growing UK technology companies, as ranked by Deloitte, generated around £2.92bn in total annual revenues in the year 2020/21 and employed more than 19,320 people. The Deloitte UK Technology Fast 50 recorded an average three-year growth rate of 3,337 per cent.”
Although these past 4 years have seen the Modulr platform and community grow, they claim that they are nowhere near the finish line and they remain focused on delivering on the overall potential of their product offering to clients as well as partners.
The Fintech firm added that they envision a future where businesses are able to easily plug their own software directly into payment rails. They also imagine an all-digital future where businesses can move and manage money between themselves in a seamless manner.
