France: Autorité des Marchés Financiers and Autorité de Contrôle Prudentiel et de Résolution, Caution Public on Unauthorized Crypto Derivatives

The Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF) and Autorité de Contrôle Prudentiel et de Résolution (ACPR), have issued a statement warning the public about entities offering crypto derivatives and Forex investments without authorization.

The regulators maintain a “black list” of websites that is periodically updated that highlights nefarious platforms that may put consumers at risk in France. The “Liste Noire” is available for download here.

France is a crypto-friendly jurisdiction that has sought to enable digital asset utilization with bespoke legislation outlining the requirements for a non-security token offering. The AMF also hosts a white list highlighting initial coin offerings (ICOs) that have been approved by the regulator.

Since 2019, only three token offerings have been approved by the AMF.
