Branded Payments Firm Recharge.com Goes Global

Recharge.com, a European payments company, has announced the launch of a global marketplace for people to purchase branded gift cards in a push to become the leading branded payments company in the world. Recharge.com was founded in 2010 and is based in Amsterdam.

Recharge highlights that it works with many well-known brands, including Netflix, Xbox, Apple, AT&T, and many more.

Recharge said its platform will be available in 180 different countries, with consumers able to shop in 17 different languages.

Recharge claims that it is one of the fastest growing Fintechs to become a payments/branded cards distributor with annual revenue topping €500 million.

Recharge also offers a spin on BNPL with a Pay Now Buy Later (PNBL) concept that allows prepaid payments so consumers can buy a product or asset in the future. PNBL is designed to provide more financial visibility by indicating exactly how much they are earning and spending each month.

Günther Vogelpoel, CEO of Recharge.com, said they are now the world’s one-stop shop for branded payments.

“We are proud to offer the broadest possible choice to a huge range of consumers worldwide while helping people to protect their details online. We are also thrilled to lead the way in helping people manage their household budgets and spending during uncertain times.”

Recharge reports over 3 million users every year.
