Europe: UiA Crowdfunding Research Center Launches European Crowdfunding Market Survey.

The University of Agder’s School of Business and Law Crowdfunding Research Centre has kicked off the European Crowdfunding Market Survey.

The survey is being supported by the following entities:

  • Bulgarian Fintech Association (Bulgaria)
  • Bundesverband Crowdfunding eV (Germany)
  • Czech and Slovak Crowdfunding Association (Czech Republic and Slovakia),
  • Dansk Crowdfunding Forening (Denmark)
  • Financement Participatif France (France)
  • Latvian Fintech Association (Latvia)
  • Norsk Crowdfunding Forening (Norway),
  • Stichting MKB Financiering (Netherlands)
  • Romanian Fintech Association (Romania)
  • The UK Crowdfunding Association (UK)

The survey is inclusive of securities crowdfunding, including peer-to-peer lending, as well as rewards and donations platforms. The goal is to capture the best data available currently on the European Crowdfunding industry, which is in the midst of a bit of a transition following the approval of European Crowdfunding Service Provider Regulations (ECPSR) that allows platforms to raise capital across all EU member states.

The questions include inquiries regarding:

  • Platforms modes, scope, and scale of operations.
  • Fundraiser/Backer/Borrower profiles.
  • Backer/investor/lender profiles.
  • Legal aspects and compliance.
  • Technical development and services

All data will be correlated at the country level and aggregated, and none of the information will be sold. Platforms will not be individually identified.

The Survey is scheduled to close on June 10, 2023.

If you are interested, you may participate in the survey here.
