SolomonEdwards Announces Acquisition of 29Bison, a Human Capital Advisory Organization for Investment Community

SolomonEdwards, a national professional services firm, is proud to announce the acquisition of 29Bison – a human capital advisory organization for the investment community – “specializing in performing due diligence, value optimization, and pre- and post-transaction services.”

29Bison reportedly “helps companies evaluate and design the optimal human capital strategy across leadership and culture, benefits and total rewards, technology, operations, and overall organizational design.”

29Bison also assists clients in “preparing for exits and transformative initiatives conceived through the human capital lens – capabilities that SolomonEdwards is looking forward to capitalizing on as part of its strategic expansion of professional services offerings.”

Through its aggressive expansion strategy, SolomonEdwards received “a significant investment from Renovus Capital Partners in April 2″022.”

The capital infusion “followed a period of record-setting growth for SolomonEdwards, allowing the company to make additional investments in its team and delivery capabilities, and accelerating its presence in the marketplace.”

Laura Kellers Queen, Ed.D., Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer of 29Bison, will “become Chief People Officer of SolomonEdwards, overseeing SolomonEdwards’ own human capital while continuing to play a pivotal role in the Human Capital consulting practice, which will be led by 29Bison Co-Founder Jason Wood.

Queen adds:

“29Bison has a strong, established history of serving acquirers to address risks ahead of a transition. It is quite fitting that this is also a sweet spot and targeted growth area for SolomonEdwards. Our combined talents, expertise, and systems will merge real-world experience with data-driven insights to solve complex business transaction challenges.”

Scott Balestrier, SolomonEdwards’ CEO, says:

“The addition of 29Bison fits our focused growth strategy and supports the human capital needs of private equity firms, their portfolio companies, and corporate acquirers. 29Bison is the second strategic acquisition by SolomonEdwards in 2023, following the February acquisition of OpenGate, a Salesforce-focused technology consultancy.” Balestrier adds: “SolomonEdwards has always been – and will continue to be – a fully integrated, competitive, and industry-leading professional services firm. Our recent expansion enables us to offer our clients technology and human capital solutions in addition to our longstanding accounting & finance and business transformation offerings.”

As noted in the update, 29Bison is “a human capital advisor for the investment community, performing due diligence, value optimization and pre- and post-transaction services.”

They aim to “combine data-driven inquiry with a strengths-based, people-centric approach – resulting in appreciating [human] capital.”
