Fintech Clik2pay Enables Online Debit Payments on WooCommerce

Payment service provider Clik2pay announced it has developed a Clik2pay plugin for WooCommerce, “enabling any business on the platform to quickly and easily enable Clik2pay for their online store.”

WooCommerce users can now “offer their customers a direct-from-account payment option and begin accepting debit payments with Clik2pay – instead of relying on credit cards alone for online payments.”

When using Clik2pay, payments are “completed safely and securely using one of the most trusted money transfer systems in the world.”

Clik2pay claims it is “the first in Canada to deliver real-time payments to businesses that are completed easily and securely, directly from the customer’s bank account.”

With Clik2pay, businesses can “increase their customer base by opening online payments to the millions of Canadians who don’t have credit cards, and reduce payment processing fees by up to 50 per cent.”

Research data shows “that more than 40 per cent of Canadians prefer to pay from their bank account.”

Mike Bradley, Founder and CEO of Clik2pay, said:

“Customers and businesses alike benefit from Clik2pay. Customers love to pay by debit card in-store, and Clik2pay gives them that same experience online. Businesses benefit because it allows them to reach more customers, and save on processing fees. It’s a win-win.”
