Smart Pension, which claims to be one of the UK’s leading workplace pension providers, today announced it is working with Yonder, the all-in-one platform to automate health insurance and retirement benefits for growing teams, “to enable companies and their UK-based employees to easily administer and enrol in a workplace pension.”
The partnership utilizes both firms’ powerful APIs “to provide international employers with an effortless, modern and digital way to set up and manage a workplace pension for their UK-based employees that’s compliant with UK auto-enrolment law.”
It means that no matter where the company is based, “even if they don’t have a UK bank account, they can provide their UK-based employees with comprehensive employee benefits.”
Yonder provides employers “with one easy to manage dashboard that removes the headache of understanding different countries’ retirement legislation, that’s scalable and affordable to support firms of all sizes and growth ambitions.” For employees, their benefits are “available to access and control with the Yonder app.”
Luke Mackey, Co-Founder and CEO, said:
“We’re delighted to announce our partnership with Smart Pension. After the success of our workplace pension partnership in Ireland, we were keen to support UK-based employees quickly, and Smart Pension is the perfect fit for us. Their digital-first approach to pensions aligned with our core values. I’m excited that Yonder is engaging with the highest-quality providers to expand its presence in local markets.”
Chris Glanton, Director of Strategic Partnerships at Smart Pension, said:
“At Smart Pension, we’ve always put employers and members first so we were very excited at the opportunity to work with another fintech disruptor focussed on the employee benefits market. Making retirement accessible is a priority for us and this partnership and technology integration really supports this. Our pension platform supports SMEs to those with tens of thousands of employees so it’s perfect to support the range of clients Yonder has.”
As noted in the update, Yonder says that it “provides an all-in-one platform to automate health insurance and retirement benefits globally.”
With an easy-to-use app, employees can “create and manage their benefits – making them simple to understand and portable.” In 2022, Yonder raised “a €2.6M pre-seed round from Northzone, Frontline, Cocoa and leading industry operators. Since then, they have invested in product development and new market expansion.”
Launched in 2015, the Smart Pension Master Trust “has grown AUM by more than 2,000% in four years, and serves one million members and 70,000 employers.” It is powered “by global savings and investments technology platform provider, Smart.”
