Animoca Brands, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Polygon Labs announced MoonRealm Express Accelerator, a strategic collaboration to support Web3 builders around the world and accelerate the development of Web3 products and solutions through Animoca Brands’ flagship project Mocaverse.
MoonRealm Express Accelerator is “an accelerator program to empower builders worldwide to advance development in emerging areas such as decentralized identity, SocialFi, and GameFi, and encourage builders to develop new ideas and solutions on Mocaverse.”
The goal of MoonRealm Express Accelerator is “to support aspiring builders by helping them to turn concepts into real-world solutions.”
The program facilitates innovation “throughout the entire growth cycle of a Web3 startup, ranging from the inception of creative ideas to Web3 masterclasses, builder-centric hackathons, and incubating high-quality projects.”
The inaugural cohort of the MoonRealm Express Accelerator will “focus on building and extending Mocaverse’s expanding ecosystem, centering around the recent launch of Moca ID and Realm Points on the Polygon chain.”
The program’s first hackathon will “be announced in early 2024 and will task builders and projects to devise protocols that utilize and grow the Moca ID on-chain identity ecosystem, and that integrate Realm Points as integral assets.”
Key hackathon tracks will “include Web3 Identity, Web3 Social, and Web3 Growth, with the goal of elevating Mocaverse as the premier platform for Web3 loyalty programs. This vision will be realized by building on the synergies of Animoca Brands’ domain expertise, AWS’s robust capabilities, and Polygon Labs’ extensive network, in collaborative efforts spanning Web3, cloud, AI, and blockchain technologies.”

As a key technology enabler and partner of the MoonRealm Express Accelerator, AWS has committed to invest US$1.1M “to support up to 500 eligible startups under the inaugural cohort.
AWS will provide startups with its cloud resources “through AWS Activate (a startup program which provides startups with the resources they need to get started on AWS), a series of technical masterclasses to help startups develop Web3 applications, games, and AI-powered products (such as efficient multi-chain implementation, secured dApp architecture on Cloud, and ethical AI application), exposure to venture capital for fundraising opportunities, go-to-market support, and more.”
Polygon Labs will offer workshops “to participating Web3 startups designed to equip them with the knowledge and skills necessary for success in this rapidly evolving field. Polygon Labs will also contribute cash bounties for hackathons, and solution providers in the Polygon ecosystem will make available vouchers for services that can help these startups.”
