Moonfare has appointed Marc Lamik as its Chief Product and Technology Officer, which is a newly-created executive committee position “reporting to Co-CEO Lorenz Jüngling.”
Lamik, who is based in Lisbon, “joined Moonfare in July 2022 as VP of Product and Data.”
In his new role he oversees Moonfare’s digital product, technology platform, security, and data, including “the product management, software engineering, platform and infrastructure engineering teams.”
Jüngling said:
“Marc’s career history and his passion for e-commerce has given him a rare three-dimensional view of the intersection between consumer behaviour and online transactions and web-technology. His new role is a well-deserved recognition of his already considerable strategic contribution to Moonfare’s product and data capabilities.”
Lamik has a history of helping scale technologies, and build product teams, “for notable companies in the tech and e-commerce sectors.”
He said:
“I’ve always been driven by the desire to push the cutting edge of what is offered online and how it is offered. Moonfare’s mission to democratise a previously almost hidden world of private equity is a perfect fit, and I’m excited to be chosen to help spearhead the next phase of our development.”
As Director of Product at US-based Cloudflare, “one of the world’s largest online networks, Lamik was tasked with building the product management team in Lisbon and leading product teams based in the US and Europe.”
During his tenure as Head of Product and Engineering (Innovation & Partnerships) for European online fashion and lifestyle platform Zalando, Lamik set up “a newly formed business unit, driving the group’s efforts to connect internal and external business partners to Zalando’s digital platform. Lamik holds a masters in Information Science and Computational Linguistics from the Heinrich-Heine-University, Düsseldorf.”
As noted in the update, Moonfare says that it “offers individual investors and their advisors access to private equity investment opportunities. With its digital onboarding process and asset management platform, Moonfare allows investors to register and invest directly online.”
To date, Moonfare has reportedly “offered more than 110 private-market funds from top general partners worldwide such as KKR, Carlyle and EQT with an emphasis on private equity buyouts.”
