Coinbase Derivatives Exchange Announces its Crypto Futures Products Now Available via TT Platform from Trading Technologies International

Coinbase Derivatives Exchange, a CFTC-licensed futures exchange, is pleased to announce that its crypto futures products are now available through the TT platform from Trading Technologies International, Inc. (TT), a global capital markets technology platform provider.

Coinbase (NASDAQ:COIN) further noted that TT customers can now “trade Coinbase Derivatives Exchange regulated crypto futures directly from the TT platform.”

Randy Myers, Head of Crypto at Trading Technologies, said:

“We are pleased to provide access to Coinbase Derivatives Exchange through the TT platform, giving institutional and professional traders the ability to trade regulated cryptocurrency futures with our full suite of market-leading tools, including Autospreader®, ADL® and Aggregator.” 

Coinbase Derivatives Exchange and Trading Technologies both look “to strengthen the landscape of digital asset derivatives trading by providing traders with an enhanced, seamless user experience.”

This connection expands “on Coinbase Institutional’s goal of increasing institutional access to and adoption of digital asset derivatives.”

Boris Ilevsky, Head of Coinbase Derivatives Exchange, said:

“Trading Technologies is a key partner for facilitating institutional access to and the continued growth of our suite of crypto futures products. Coupled with increasing support from the FCM community, this collaboration marks a major milestone for institutional demand and adoption of CFTC regulated crypto derivatives.”

Traders, hedgers, and brokers using TT may access both the “Nano”-sized Bitcoin and Ether futures (1/100th BTC and 1/10th ETH) as well as “the institutional-sized futures (1 BTC and 10 ETH).”

Coinbase  has officially announced the next phase of their Coinbase International Exchange expansion – the launch of non-US spot markets “for eligible customers.”

This latest development is designed to address “the unique needs and demands of our global user base while reinforcing our strategic mission to expand international access to trusted products and services.”

Coinbase International Exchange launched in May 2023 and has “grown significantly” in recent months:

  • Onboarded over 100 institutions, with approximately $10 billion in perpetual futures trading volume in Q3 alone.
  • Launched perpetual futures to eligible retail users on Coinbase Advanced in October 2023
  • Listed 15 perpetual contracts that cover more than 70% of the addressable perpetual futures trading market
  • Increased maximum leverage to 10x for all listed contracts
