European Digital Bank N26 Appoints Mayur Kamat to Key Executive Role

Digital bank N26 recently announced the appointment of Mayur Kamat as its new Chief Product Officer.

Mayur is said to have “a proven track record leading product teams and building new solutions at some of the world’s biggest technology companies.”

He reportedly brings with him decades of experience in “the finance, technology and innovation spaces with global brands such as Agoda, Google and Microsoft.”

Most recently, he led global product and design teams “at Binance, where he was responsible for building inclusive financial products and systems in an emerging regulated space.”

In his new role, Mayur will assume responsibility “of N26’s product and user experience teams.”

He will lead a team based across “the digital bank’s office and technology hubs in Berlin, Barcelona and Vienna to deliver N26’s global product strategy across its portfolio of spending, saving, investment, credit and shared banking features.”

Mayur will report directly to CEO of N26 Valentin Stalf, and is “set to begin in his role in Q2 this year, based out of N26’s Barcelona office.”

As noted in the update, N26 AG claims tha tit “is Europe’s leading digital bank with a full German banking license.”

Built on the latest technology, N26’s mobile banking experience “makes managing money easier, more secure and customer friendly.”

To date, it has welcomed “more than 8 million customers in 24 markets, and processes over 100bn EUR in transactions a year.”

N26 is headquartered in Berlin with offices “in multiple cities across Europe, including Vienna and Barcelona, and a 1,500-strong team of more than 80 nationalities.”

Founded by Valentin Stalf and Maximilian Tayenthal in 2013, N26 has “raised close to US$ 1.8 billion from some of the world’s most renowned investors.”
