Bitpanda, a European Fintech company that specializes in crypto, has announced a partnership with Deutsche Bank regarding payments.
Bitpanda states that Deutsche Bank will provide real-time payment services for its users. Deutsche Bank will also provide local IBAN numbers for deposits for German Bitpanda users. This banking service provided by the August bank is emblematic of the growing acceptance of digital assets and affiliated services across Europe.
Bitpanda says this is the first time a global bank like Deutsche Bank has partnered with a crypto firm.
“This is a huge step for the whole industry and proof of the strength of Bitpanda’s brand, reputation and trustworthiness. We are once again setting the bar for the industry and furthering crypto’s integration with the traditional financial industry,” states Bitpanda.
Bitpanda was founded in 2014 in Vienna. Today, the company reports around 4 million users and is one of the most successful Fintechs in Europe. Bitpanda holds an e-Money license and is, therefore, able to offer bank-like services.
Bitpanda GmbH is a registered digital assets service provider with the Austrian Financial Market Authority (FMA) and with the French Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) under PACTE law. The Bitpanda Payments GmbH holds a PSD2 license.
