Irys, an on-chain data provider, says it has raised $8.9 million in funding in a round led by Lemniscap.
Other investors in the round include Framework, Primitive Ventures, Hypersphere, Permanent Ventures, and EV3. Individual investors include Smokey the Bera, Ryan Watkins, and Daniel Cheung.
Previously known as Bundlr Network, Irys says it has broadened its scope to bring “provenance, performance, and scalability to on-chain data.”
Josh Benaron, CEO of Irys, described the funding as a “testament to the confidence our investors have in our vision and our ability to bring the world’s data on-chain.”
The strategic funding round is said to arrive at a pivotal time for Irys, as the team expands its operations. Irys says it is committed to reimagining how data can be leveraged to meet the evolving needs of developers and businesses.
