Wise Says it Has Expanded Regulatory Footprint in Providing Global Transfers, Payments

Global Fintech Wise (LSE:WISE) says it has expanded its global regulatory footprint as it provides transfers and payments around the world. Wise, based in the UK, has long been a top Fintech that streamlines the process of moving money around the world – typically faster and less expensive than competitors. New licenses include approval in Brazil, Japan, and Australia. Wise reports that 63% of transfers settle instantly – a competitive advantage.

Wise reports that several digital banking platforms are among its new partners, including Nubank in Brazil, MoxStandard Chartered’s digital bank in Hong Kong, Moin in South Korea, Allica Bank in the UK, and Qonto in France.

Wise also mentioned its partnership with Swift, which allows payments to be sent instantly without rebuilding Swift’s messaging platform.

In the past 12 months, Wise states that it has enabled global partners to provide multi-currency accounts and issue debit cards. The first partner is Nubank in Brazil which currently offers the service to its premium customers.

In Singapore, Tiger Brokers is said to have expanded its partnership with Wise to launch a first-ever debit card that lets customers earn fractional shares.

Wise’s integration with Bank Mandiri in Indonesia is said to have resulted in a 20% increase in monthly transactions and 24% user growth on their app, saving customers USD $2.3 million in fees.

Steve Naudé, Managing Director of Wise Platform, explains that customers want more than just transfers—they want multi-currency accounts, debit cards, and receiving money internationally.

“We’re constantly improving our infrastructure to offer speed, convenience, and transparency at a scale unmatched in the industry. Our growth reflects the appetite from partners—especially banks and large financial institutions—who are looking for the ability to offer world-class cross-border payments without compromising on speed or cost.”
