Anthony Scaramucci of SkyBridge Capital Shares Insights on Bitcoin and Crypto-related Developments in the US

With Trump’s re-election confirmed, the Republican party winning the Senate, and the House of Representatives edging closer to a Republican majority, investment platform Saxo interviewed Trump’s former Director of Communications and SkyBridge Capital founder Anthony Scaramucci on Monday, November 11th.

Anthony Scaramucci is an American financier who briefly served as the White House Director of Communications from July 21 to July 31, 2017.

Scaramucci worked at Goldman Sachs‘s investment banking, equities, and private wealth management divisions between 1989 and 1996. He then founded Oscar Capital Management, and in 2005, he founded the investment firm SkyBridge Capital.

Our conversation with Anthony Scaramucci is shared below.

Crowdfund Insider: What kinds of positive Bitcoin and crypto-related policy changes can we expect from the next US administration? And how will this impact the future of finance, DeFi, and the web3 / blockchain ecosystem in the coming years?

Anthony Scaramucci: So that’s the brightest thing on the horizon and that’s something because I own a lot of Bitcoin and Solana – my two large positions have done very well since after the election. You have guys like Jay Clayton and Brian Brooks who are putting together a 100 day plan for the SEC and cryptocurrency stable coin legislation definitions of what are securities versus tokens/commodities. I think that’s going to be incredibly favorable.

I feel like Bitcoin should be $150,000 given the demand for Bitcoin and given the properties that Bitcoin has. I’m coming out with a new book. It’s called The Little Book of Bitcoin. I wrote it with Michael Saylor, the micro strategy investor, and I think it’s [Bitcoin] been suppressed by US faulty politicized regulation and so this is one of the good things about the Trump administration they’re going to depoliticize the cryptocurrency regulations be very good for crypto but remember you’re going to get you don’t want them pulling out of NATO. You don’t want them walling the country off literally and figuratively from the rest of the world. You don’t want 500% tariffs. All of those things would outweigh the benefits of the positive crypto regulation.

Do you think Joe Biden deserves more blame at his door?

Anthony Scaramucci: What was the number one reason why she lost? Joe Biden. That was the number one. You can’t put somebody in that position 105 days and just say ‘go’. Some people think you can, but I don’t think you can. There’s a lot of women in the Democratic party that are very pissed off. To explain, it’s a situation where ‘Biden of course gave Harris the job with 105 days to go. He hurt women by doing this.

Why didn’t he drop out a year ago and maybe Harris would have made it through the primary, maybe she wouldn’t have made it through the primary, but they feel he put her in a position to fail.

He [Biden] now goes down in history negatively and the movement that Joe Biden hates, which is the MAGA Trump movement – this anti-immigration sort of misogynistically charged movement –  Joe Biden fueled – Joe Biden put shrimp on the barbecue. So, you would have said if she won or he won, Joe Biden ended Trumpism. But the great irony is that he fueled it.

There was a four-year interregnum period where Trump amped up his rhetoric, his ‘stop the steal’ nonsense about a stolen election. Trump amped up his racial hatred like a coiled spring. Because of his [Biden’s] age, the sun was setting for him, let’s just be honest about it. He couldn’t respond. He wasn’t able to respond on the great things he was doing about the economy, the great things he was doing to clean up COVID, the great things he was doing to reshore manufacturing and he failed to make those arguments. So Trump got stronger and stronger and now you’ve got Trump again in a much more powerful, more prepared position.

He knows who he wants to put in that cabinet. He’s going to make sure that there’s no moderate Republicans in that cabinet. He’s going to put all the extremists in place. And so the irony is that Joe Biden created more havoc for these people.
