Digital Payments Provider Checkout.com Teams Up with Papa Johns UK

Checkout.com, a global digital payments company, has helped Papa Johns UK improve its payments performance and expand its payment method offerings.

The result is an improved digital payments experience for Papa Johns UK customers, ensuring smooth and secure online transactions “across its 400 locations nationwide.”

Papa Johns is a global pizza brand with nearly 6,000 restaurants in around 45 different countries across the globe.

Papa Johns UK has seen a 6% increase in acceptance rates for card transactions as a result of “utilizing Checkout.com including network tokens.”

This approach turns card credentials into encrypted tokens that are used for payment processing, “making each individual transaction more secure.”

It also allows for creating a seamless customer experience by automatically updating card details assigned to each token, which “significantly reduces false declines even when cards are replaced or expired.”

In addition to this, the implementation of Intelligent Acceptance, which optimizes payments performance using highly “advanced machine learning, has led to a further 0.6% uplift in acceptance rates across all transactions.”

The partnership reportedly extends alternative payment methods, Google Pay and Apple Pay, to customers.

In addition to improving its customers’ experience by offering more flexibility and faster payments, these payment methods “are performing well for the business – Papa Johns has a 98.1% acceptance rate with Google Pay, and 97.9% with Apple Pay.”

Fraud Detection Pro has also been integrated and customized “to fit the specific needs of the business to safeguard the business from fraud.”

These improvements come at a key time as Papa Johns UK “gears up for the busy holiday season.”

Checkout.com’s Peak Season Report revealed “food delivery as the most popular purchase among UK millennials and Gen Zs.”

With checkout performance optimized, Papa Johns is positioned to handle bigger transaction volumes and “deliver a seamless and secure payment experience for its customers during peak periods.”

Antoine Nougué, Chief Revenue Officer at Checkout.com said that they’re thrilled to partner with Papa Johns UK to “elevate their customer experience.”

Nougué added that by leveraging  advanced payment solutions, they’ve helped them overcome challenges, “improve acceptance rates, and expand their payment options.” They also mentioned that this partnership is a great example of how Checkout.com’s tech and “expertise can drive meaningful results for leading brands.”
