Garanti BBVA Kripto Enlists Bitstamp for Trading Digital Assets

Garanti BBVA Kripto will partner with Bitstamp to enable crypto trading for their customers, according to a statement from the subsidiary of Garanti BBVA – a Turkish bank.

Bitstamp is a subsidiary of broker-dealer firm Robinhood.

Garanti BBVA touts that Bitstamp holds over 50 regulatory approvals around the world. Bitstamp will provide the primary liquiquity for Garanti BBVA Kripto’s customers via Bitstamp-as-a-Service.

Korcan Abalı, CEO of Garanti BBVA Kripto, said they have offered crypto trading since 2023 and they seek to prove the best digital asset service available while remaining compliant.

“With this aim, while collaborating with valuable institutions, we evaluate the values of our business partners in terms of service level and regulatory compliance. Since our establishment, we have been running an exchange cooperation business model for liquidity sharing with Bitstamp. As Bitstamp is a regulated institution and has extensive experience in crypto markets, we are pleased to partner with it to provide liquidity for our clients. Through this collaboration, our crypto customers have the chance to experience digital asset services at the banking quality level.”

Garanti BBVA Kripto was established in May 2023 as a subsidiary of Garanti BBVA, one of Turkey’s largest private banks.
