El Salvador has not only experienced a dramatic reduction in crime due to successful policies enacted by the current government, but the Latin American country has also embraced digital asset innovation. Another sign of crypto acceptance is that European digital asset firm Tokeny has signed a partnership with Ditobanx, a licensed Digital Asset Service Provider (DASP) in El Salvador—the partnership’s goal is to create a legal framework for tokenized regulated assets.
Ditobanx is anticipating issuing $300 million in tokenized assets in 2025, with a pipeline of 22 clients ready to onboard. The mission is to not only enable digital securities but to facilitate liquidity fro trading. The company currently provides various financial services like payments, credit cards, wallets and Bitcoin services.
While Ditobanx could have pursued the creation of its own digital security platform, the firm decided to work with Tokeny, based in Luxembourg, one of a handful of digital asset enablers operating in the regulated sector.
Guillermo Contreras, CEO of Ditobanx, notes that tokenization is a complicated process, but it is the future of their industry.
