YZi Labs, Formerly Binance Labs, to Diversify Crypto, Web3 Focus to Include AI and Biotech Investments

YZi Labs, formerly known as Binance Labs, has unveiled its rebranding, marking a significant expansion of its investment focus beyond crypto and blockchain to include Artificial Intelligence (AI) and biotechnology (biotech). Bianance describes the change as a natural progression as it has operated independently while leveraging the Binance brand name.

Binance Labs is part of Binance, founded by crypto billionaire Changpeng Zhao (CZ). He has apparently stepped away from day to day management but is said to continue to provide support and feedback.

Ella Zhang will be the Head of YZi Labs.

By venturing into AI and biotech while remaining rooted in Web3, YZi Labs hopes to drive innovation and growth, creating lasting value for society.

YZi Labs will continue supporting high-potential Web3 innovation while exploring new opportunities at the intersection of AI, biotech, and Web3.

YZi Labs’ firm commitment to empowering founders and driving innovation remains unchanged, with a focus on supporting visionary founders who are building for the long-term.
