Stablecoin issuer Tether has announced an investment in Zengo, a self custodial digital wallet. The goal is to boost stablecoin utilization including USDT. Terms of the investment were not disclosed.
Launched in 2019, the company reports over 1.5 million wallets worldwide.
The investment is expected to halp Zengo improve its blockchain ignostic abilities while supporting Tether’s ecosystem.
Zengo’s wallet features include payment tools, cross-chain swaps, and 24/7 customer support. The wallet offers a service with no seed phrase vulnerability.
Zengo Pro is a premium product with features like theft protection, legacy transfer capabilities, and real-time assistance.
Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino, said in supporting Zengo, they aim to help more people worldwide to “access blockchain technology with confidence, ease, and security. Together, we are shaping the future of how stablecoins are used and adopted.”
