Georgia Quinn has joined Securitize as its Chief Legal Officer. Quinn, well known in the Fintech sector, previously was General Counsel at Anchorage Digital, the only federally chartered digital asset bank, but has worked at several prominent Fintechs and large law firms focusing on securities law.
Securitize is one of a handful of platforms enabling a full stack of services catering to the future of digital securities and real-world assets. Securitize is currently working with big asset managers, like Apollo, BlackRock, Hamilton Lane, KKR, and more. Securitize also operates an SEC-registered broker-dealer, digital transfer agent, fund administrator, and Alternative Trading System (ATS).
Securitize predicts that by having Quinn develop its legal strategy, the company is poised to expand its role as a leading provider of regulated tokenized securities, bridging traditional finance and blockchain technology to unlock new market efficiencies.
While the prior administration ignored the opportunity to update and improve the securities ecosystem, the Trump Administration has embraced digital assets and is racing to craft a regulatory environment supportive of innovation, including digital securities. Securitize has called for greater regulatory clarity to support the growth of tokenized securities.
Securitize CEO Carlos Domingo welcomed Quinn to his team:
“Her deep understanding of digital asset regulation and her experience leading legal strategy for financial institutions will be invaluable as we continue to build a compliant, efficient, and innovative ecosystem for tokenized real-world assets.”
Commenting on her new role, Quinn said:
“Securitize has been at the forefront of bringing real-world asset tokenization into a compliant, regulated framework, and I am excited to join at such a critical and exciting time for the industry. Now that the regulatory stalemate is over and we can make meaningful progress toward a functional legal framework, I look forward to working with the team to ensure Securitize remains a trusted leader in the space.”
