Republic Europe, part of Republic, is promoting its vertical targeting the film industry. Republic Europe is based and regulated in the UK, but a disclaimer on the platform clarifies that “Republic Film is a business in the United States and is not authorised or regulated by the FCA. Republic Europe has not reviewed or approved any material on the Republic Film webpage.”
While Republic has financed film ventures in the past by creating a vertical segment, it appears that film is gaining more support from the platform. Several offerings are listed live now, offering equity or revenue share participation. Other film projects are expected to launch live soon.
In a widely distributed email, Republic stated:
“Through Republic Film, filmmakers can now collaborate directly with their fans, retain creative control, and help reshape the film ecosystem. With this new financing model, fans are not just funding films—they are unlocking new creative possibilities in entertainment. Since its launch last year, Republic Film has forged partnerships with several iconic filmmakers, making it possible for fans to invest in their latest projects.”
