Crypto.com to Accept BlackRock Tokenized Fund as Trading Collateral

Crypto.com announced that the Crypto.com Exchange, the platform’s institutional-grade offering, will accept BlackRock’s tokenized fund, BlackRock USD Institutional Digital Liquidity Fund (BUIDL), as trading collateral for clients.

Established in March 2024, BUIDL provides qualified investors with the opportunity to earn U.S. dollar yields by “subscribing to the fund through Securitize Markets, LLC (Securitize).”

By integrating with Crypto.com Exchange, qualified institutional clients and advanced traders can use BUIDL “as collateral to secure margin for trading on the Crypto.com Exchange.”

Eric Anziani, President and COO of Crypto.com said:

“Providing advanced and institutional traders the best possible trading experience is our continuous goal with the Crypto.com Exchange. BUIDL is a leading tokenized fund and we are excited to offer traders of BUIDL and the Crypto.com Exchange the ability to unlock even more opportunities.”

Launched in 2019, the Crypto.com Exchange “allows institutional and advanced traders to trade with confidence on the world’s fastest and most secure platform.”

The Crypto.com Exchange is a “comprehensive offering – including spot trading, margin trading, derivatives, OTC trading, and more, with deep liquidity and attractive fees.”

As of August 2024, the Crypto.com Exchange has “become the world’s  USD-supporting cryptocurrency exchange by spot volume.”

The Crypto.com Exchange was “launched in the U.S. in January 2025.”

Carlos Domingo, Co-founder and CEO of Securitize:

“As tokenization continues to transform capital markets, Securitize is dedicated to enabling regulated and seamless access to institutional-grade tokenized assets. Our work with BlackRock and Crypto.com is a testament to the growing demand for tokenized securities and their role in shaping the future of finance.”

This feature will only be enabled for “eligible institutional investors in select jurisdictions.”

Founded in 2016, Crypto.com is trusted by “more than 140 million customers worldwide and is the industry leader in regulatory compliance, security and privacy.”

Their vision is: Cryptocurrency in Every Wallet.

Crypto.com is committed to accelerating the “adoption of cryptocurrency through innovation.”

BlackRock’s purpose is to help more and more people “experience financial well-being.”

As a fiduciary to investors and a financial technology provider, they help millions of people “build savings that serve them throughout their lives by making investing easier and more affordable.”
