Trump Media Files for “Blue Chip” Crypto ETF

Trump Media (Nasdaq, NYSE Texas: DJT), the company that operates Truth Social and is affiliated with President Donald Trump, has filed for a “Crypto Blue Chip ETF” according to a statement by the company. Trump Media previously revealed its intent to pursue an ETF.

The company said that Crypto.com would provide custody for the digital assets with the fund available later this year.

The ETF is expected to hold Bitcoin, Ether, Solana, Cronos, and Ripple (XRP) directly, with 70% of its assets invested in Bitcoin, 15% in Ether, 8% in SOL, 5% in CRO, and 2% in XRP.

The registration statement is available here. It is expected to trade on NYSE Arca.

Trump Media filed a separate registration statement last month for the Truth Social Bitcoin and Ethereum ETF.

As the Trump administration is vocally supportive of digital asset innovation, interest in crypto has risen alongside the price of various cryptocurrencies. The advent of ETFs holding crypto has helped to legitimize the sector of finance.
