Global Fintech Wise and Google Aim to Make International Payments More Accessible

Fintech firm Wise (LON:WISE) will be joining Google’s new remittance experience as one of the key providers.

Consumers in the U.S. will soon be able to “access Wise’s services, powered by Wise Platform,”

Wise’s global infrastructure for banks and enterprises, “on Google Wallet online or by searching for select currency exchange rates on Google Search.”

This feature will be rolled out as “a test to Google users in the U.S.”

The remittance experience will allow those “looking on Google for international payment solutions on high-demand routes from USD to INR, PHP, MXN and BRL, to compare and send money via select providers including Wise.”

Consumers will see the fees and transaction speeds “offered by each provider for a transparent experience.”

Lauren Langbridge, Commercial Director for Wise Platform, said:

“Sending money abroad is a routine necessity for millions of people and businesses, but it’s not always easy for customers to find the right provider. By joining forces with Google, Wise will enable … international payments for more users across the U.S.”

Wise Platform powers the international payments experience “for the world’s leading banks, financial institutions, and digital platforms, including Morgan Stanley, Standard Chartered, Brex and Ramp.”

Over the past 14 years, Wise has been “focused on building the network for the world’s money by solving the complexities of moving and managing money across borders.”

As more Americans seek easy and fast ways to “send money internationally, Google’s partnership with Wise Platform is a testament to the scale and reliability of the infrastructure and network Wise has built.”

Wise Platform is Wise – but for “banks, financial institutions and global enterprises.”

Wise Platform allows partners to utilise Wise’s infrastructure, “meaning they can embed the best way to send, receive and manage money into their existing infrastructure, creating value for their business and customers.”

Over the past decade, Wise has built a global payments infrastructure that has enhanced “how money moves around the world.”

Now, thanks to Wise Platform, they allow partners to “bring new products to customers without building it themselves, saving both time and money.”

This allows them to develop products and “retain and grow their customer base.”
