Crypto exchange Safello has announced its expansion into Finland, its first new market.
Safello Group AB, has been listed on Nasdaq First North Growth Market since 2021.
The company said that it would commence services in Finland before the end of the year.
Safello is regulated under the European MiCA regulation. Its services will initially be available through the company’s mobile app, followed by a web launch, allowing users in Finland to buy, sell, and store crypto via Safello’s platform.
The company’s Board of Directors is currently reviewing the potential to enter other markets for entry with the launch in Finland described as the first step in Safello’s European expansion strategy.
Emelie Moritz, CEO of Safello, called the decision to expand into Finland as a natural next step and a springboard for further European expansion.
“MiCA provides a clear and unified framework for the industry, enabling companies like Safello to grow responsibly across borders,” said Moritz.
Safello currently reports over 410,000 users.
