iFood and Nubank (NYSE: NU) are announcing a partnership in order to offer certain benefits to customers who pay with the Nubank credit card or via NuPay on the iFood app. Beginning on Nov 18, users will be able to take advantage of the offer in the Restaurant categories inside and outside Hits iFood — which offers meals starting “at R$ 20—, as well as in the Market and Pharmacy categories, ensuring convenience and a unique experience for consumers of both brands.”
The offer now reportedly runs until Dec 7, or while coupons last (each user can use one coupon in each of the categories).
The joining of iFood and Nubank, two of Brazil’s major brands, provides savings on the delivery app. By choosing the NuPay payment option or the Nubank credit card, the offers will be “automatically applied” at checkout.
Ana Paula Duarte, Senior Director of iFood Ads said that the partnership with Nubank shows how brands can use the iFood ecosystem in order “to build relationships that influence behavior.”
They added that this partnership reinforces their vision: by combining intent, recurrence, and context data at scale, they create new “frontiers of value for sectors like finance, connecting brands to the decisive moments in the consumer journey.”
Juliana Roschel, CMO of Nubank said that they are always looking for different ways to reward our customers’ loyalty; this is the Nu way of innovating and providing good moments in people’s daily lives.
Roschel added that partnerships such as this one demonstrate their ongoing commitment to bringing offers and experiences that are “aligned with the desires and needs of our consumers.”
In addition to the benefits, the partnership between the two brands will also feature a multichannel campaign.
The iFood + Nubank Collab aims to showcase the significance of this latest partnership and make it clear, both to the iFood public and to Nubank customers, that it’s now possible to save more.
Customers would need to order on iFood, by using the coupons for Nubank clients.
The campaign, which will bring together online and offline actions, was developed by DM9 and will have “coverage to ensure customers know they will have access to offers on the delivery app.”
The initial milestone will be a collab post “on iFood’s and Nubank’s proprietary social networks.”
The offer will be supported by social media (TikTok, Instagram, and X) and OOH (at subway stations and on the streets of São Paulo) and will “also feature a mix of content creators.”
