Goldman Sachs Holds Over $2 Billion in Crypto

Goldman Sachs (NYSE:GS) holds approximately $2.36 billion in crypto assets, as gleaned from the Q4 2025 13F filing.

While this represents a very small percentage of the banks’ holdings at less than 1%, it is still a sign of the maturing digital asset market.

The filing indicates that it holds $1.1 billion in Bitcoin, $1 billion in Ethereum, $153 million in XRP, and $108 million in Solana. This also includes funds that hold crypto. This is a slight increase when compared to Q4 2024.

Goldman Sachs first added direct crypto holdings to its balance sheet in the second quarter of 2024, following the U.S. approval of spot Bitcoin ETF.

As the CLARITY Act, crypto market infrastructure legislation, is expected to be approved in the Senate this year, investors may anticipate price increases for certain digital assets.
