Prometheum Offers Service for Brokers Wanting to Enable Crypto Trading, Tokenized Securities

Prometheum has announced the launch of Prometheum Capital’s Digital Brokerage Solutions, a service that supports crypto and tokenized securities for broker-dealers.  The company said that the first clients using the platform are Arete Wealth Management, Network 1 Financial Securities, and a clearing broker-dealer. Promethium is partnering with Talos, a digital asset tech provider.

The clearing broker-dealer will support a consolidated custody account.

Prometheum Capital reported that it had cleared and settled its first ETH transaction directly in a U.S. brokerage account, not through an ETF or ETP structure.

Prometheum said its service provides RIAs and broker-dealers with a compliant framework that supports existing account structures.

Aaron Kaplan, founder and co-CEO of Prometheum, said firms partnering with them are showing how crypto assets will reach investors at scale through the relationships investors already know and trust.

David Levine, CEO of Arete Wealth, said that advising and managing clients on digital assets will support their advisor netwrok as crypto becomes mainstream.
